Featured Speaker: Jack Schniper, Holocaust Survivor
“My Family’s Story of Survival”
Jack’s parents, Chaim and Chana Schniper, were both from Rovno, Poland. Each had a unique experience under Nazi occupation. They did not meet until well into the war, when both were incarcerated in the same work camp posing as non-Jews. They married in that camp and Jack was born in the camp. The new family managed to escape and stay alive until the war was over, when their journey to make their way to the US began.
Jack continues to piece together his family story and will share insights into his life with parents who talked rarely about their past and only wanted to make a new life for their family in the US.
