Emigrated to Palmira, Colombia then later moved to Cali, Colombia

Emigrated to Shanghai, then to Palmira, Colombia
Julius’s parents, Josef and Minna Kahn, were sent to Theresienstadt. Josef died there. Minna was then sent to Auschwitz where she was killed. Julius also lost three siblings in the Nazi death camps.
Julius emigrated to Shanghai, China in 1939 with his brother Sally and his sister and brother-in-law, Dora and Ludwig Lewy. After the war he left Shanghai and went to Selma, where he and Dora and Ludwig Lewy were sponsored by his sister and brother-in-law, Frieda and Hermann Berger of Selma. Sally went on to Colombia, where his brother Salomon lived.
